ESCAP IBF Next Impact-Based Forecasting QGIS Plugin

About plugin

This plugin turns raw hazard and exposure data into simple, decision-ready impact estimates. Instead of stopping at “Where the hazard will occur”, it helps answer “who and what is likely to be affected, and by how much”, so that governments and sector agencies can act early and target resources where they matter most. Running fully on the user’s desktop inside QGIS, the plugin only requires hazard data, exposure data, and administrative boundaries to generate decision-ready impact estimates. It classifies hazards using user-defined or default thresholds and calculates exposed people and critical infrastructure. Results are delivered as comprehensive reports with the impact summary map and table, exposure chart and CSV tables.
